As the wedding content creator role evolves, so too will the typical wedding content creator packages. It’s an up-and-coming niche, but one with a need (and wow factor) that continues to grow.
With that, there is no “norm” (which makes sense — successful social creators stand out because they’re different or provide a new spin on the same-old).
This means you’ll see a wide variety of content creation packages out there — as businesses figure out what’s best, and as couples make requests of their own.
Our prediction? It’s only going to get bigger and better (which, writing from Texas, just felt right).
This post is going to walk you through the content creation packages we’re seeing — to help you figure out how to present your services if you’re in this niche AND to help couples pick the best option for their wedding.
Let’s do this.

This is the basics for content creation — charging per hour, usually with a 6-hour minimum to show up and document your wedding.
Our tip? Don’t cut the hours short, or at least get creative with the hours you book. If you know the after party is going to be memorable, skip the pre-wedding footage (that your professional photographer is already going to heavily focus on) and ask the content creator to come later in the day so they can stay late! (Most wedding providers will NOT let you book 2 hours here, and 2 hours there — it needs to be continuous unless it’s a multi-day event to respect their time and presence.)
Remember, though, to double check and see if the basic package includes edited content. Most of the time, an upgraded package is the only option with ready-to-post social footage like a Reel, TikTok or even an IG grid post.
As mentioned, all basic wedding content creator packages include the raw footage. From there, upgrades or add-ons are usually available with ready-to-post content. This means you won’t have to spend hours reviewing the videos and trimming your own posts, but will receive post-able content you can share as is.
This is a time-saver, but we only recommend this if you like that creator’s style, and if they discuss some of the creative direction with you — like music preferences, trends, etc.
Next up — how will you actually receive the content, and where can you access it? The reason why a lot of couples love the idea of a content creator is near-instant access to their memories — so make sure to ask your vendor how quickly you’ll receive the footage, and through what platform.
Most use an iPhone and offer a shared album for instant access, but if you don’t have an iPhone, this could be tricky.
It’s also helpful to pay attention to the type of equipment used. I.E. How new is their iPhone? Typically, and to avoid stepping on the toes of your professional photographer/videographer, you’ll want a content creator who uses a modern smartphone, maybe with a hand-held tripod. This prevents distraction and keeps their “footprint” minimal.
Ah, we love this idea, but it also intimidates us — handing over control of your socials so wedding content can be shared as the party goes on. There are likely going to be limits to this — like an amount of Instagram Stories, or what kind of content you’re comfortable with them posting, or if they’ll run it by you first. Talk those through.
Other add-ons might include extra hours of coverage, additional content creators, travel, disposable cameras and more.
Given that most couples want content creators to get that raw, immersive footage, just the raw footage works wonders for a lot of couples.
For those who want to receive content that is ready to post as is, or with the latest Reel trend, that’s where coverage and edited clips come in. Think Instagram Reels or TikToks that are totally edited to reflect your wedding. We often see highlight Reels or split-by-the-day videos, like one for the first look, another for the ceremony, and another for the dance-off.
From public pricing we can see online as of October 2024, packages range from $800 to $2,500 on average.
